We are excited to welcome PGHS Head Coach Schuyler Horn as our PGHS Winter Ball Head Coach for Session One.

Coach Horn comes to Pacific Grove by way of New Hartford, Connecticut. He played NCAA Division III Lacrosse for Wheaton College MA, where he was selected as Team MVP in 2008 and Team Captain in 2010. He is #2 in wins as a goalie in the history of Wheaton College.

In addition to Schuyler’s success as a college Lacrosse player, he brings an extensive coaching resume to the Pacific Grove High School program. Recently Coach Horn worked as an assistant coach under the direction of retired PGHS head coach Fran O’Hagan. Prior to that he coached a number of other high school programs, assisting one to a State Championship.

“Coach Sky”, as he is respectfully referred to by his players, has a strong background in developing young players at the club and youth recreational levels as well. He understands that the future health of any athletic program depends on consistently creating and fostering a passion for the sport at all age levels. Coach Horn worked with “The Wave Program” this summer to introduce the sport of Lacrosse to over 250 young athletes. “The WAVE Program” is a three week program created for 5th, 6th and 7th graders in the Pacific Grove Community that emphasizes sports, swimming, arts and dance as a means to promote school pride and enhance self-esteem. Schuyler is in his last semester at MIIS studying International Education Management with a focus on Education Entrepreneurship.
